Celebrating the Seasons

I prefer to celebrate the seasons more so than your normal “holidays” (aka Christian holidays). I guess you can say that makes me more pagan than anything, but it just feels natural to me. A lot of my readings in Waldorf education presses upon the celebration of seasons as well.

I thought that I would start sharing how I celebrate the seasons with my toddler. As he gets older, I may update this series based on his age.

You’re not going to find a lot of ornate rituals or complicated tasks in these posts. I believe that when you are trying to get children (especially toddlers) involved, the simpler the better. It’s easier to start out with activities and brief tales. As your child gets older, you can start incorporating more and more details about the why of the day.
